            A HUGE and SPECIAL THANK YOU is also in order for the following students: AKILI FRANCIS, JUDELANDE DOREUS and ANGELINA LEWIS as well as other students who pitched in and made the hard task of completing the piece a massive succes. The win was only possible because of your cooperationa and willingness to work together in achieving this goal.

            This beautiful 1st place trophy is now in the hands of the team who worked the hardest and deserved it the most. To the BLAKE HOUSE BULLDOGS! This year BARRETTE'S PHEONIXES handed over the trophy but vowed to retrieve it next year while the WESTLEY SNIPERS, after nursing their wounds, stand in support as the victory of Blake house is celebrated. Let's keep the spirit of good sportsmanship alive and well.

            The Marjorie Basden High School's first Student Counsel body election 2024 has ended. The journey was filled with excitement and passion as the candidates vied for President and Vice President positions.

            On October 03, 2024, all students from lower to upper school at Marjorie Basden High School marched to the ballots and voted for the one person that they regarded as capable of representing the student body.

            Candidates fought hard but there could only be one winner.

          • Environment Recycling Exhibition Competition

            On October 02, 2024 we were invited to the Environment Recycling Exhibition and Competition. This was held at the Community Center in South Caicos and featured pieces from Calvary Basic, Iris Stubs Primary and Marjorie Basden High School.

            Congratulations to Guvenson Doreus and Akili Francis for being placed first and second in the recycling competition

          • YOUTHS ON A MISSION

          • The Department of Youth Affairs hosted a speech competition based on the topic, 'The impact of social media and technology on youth violence'. Three contestants were selected from the Marjorie Basden High School, one from the three sports houses, Barrent, Blake and Wesley. 

            TaHalia Davidson, Abigail Joseph and Abinassabia Prophet prepared and presented their information to the judges and audience passionately. They confidently dissected the topic and offered their evidence and solutions with clarity.

             

            Vice Principal Mrs. K. Lamour, 1st place winner TaHalia Davideson, Flow Ambassdor A. Garland, 3rd place winner Abinassabia Prophet, 2nd place winner Abigail Joseph.

            Congratulations students, well done.

            Marjorie Basden High has reintroduced its Student Counsel body with a BANG!

            Candidates presented their speeches to their peers as they vied for the President and Vice President positions. 

            President Candidates: TaHalia Davidson, Kaley Hall and Kaylon Cuffy

            Vice Presidents: Akili Francis, Trenea Wilson and Nailah Byfield.

            Each candidate solicited votes from the student population using various creative and effective methods to prove their stability and competence to their peers to be the voice they need in administration.  

             

            Let's encourage positive competition, resilience and objectivity as our aspiring leaders continue to break boundaries and be the change the want to see.

             

            May the best Candidate win!

          • MBHS Tourism & Heritage Club Collaborates with Turks and Caicos Islands National Trust

          • Represenatives from Turks and Caicos Islands National Trust joined with the Tourism and Heritage Club meeting to do a presentation on the East Caicos Project  in preparation for the upcomning field trip. 

             

            During the presentation the following persons were awarded for responding correctly to oral questions.
